Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve a class?

To place a reservation, you must first purchase a class(es) or a package.  To do so, simply go to the "buy classes" page, click "buy now", and supply the requested information to checkout.  Once a purchase is made, you can sign up for any class by visiting the "schedule" page.  You may also purchase classes at the studio.  Expiration dates and prices are subject to change.

Is online registration required to attend classes?

Online registration is required for morning and noon classes Monday-Friday and must be completed by 10 pm the night prior to the class.  Walk-ins are welcome for all other classes; however, online registration guarantees bike availability.

Should I arrive to the studio early?

If you will visit the studio for the first time, please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can show you around the studio, set you up on your bike and introduce you to the instructor.  For every other ride, please arrive at least 5 minutes early.  You must claim your reserved bike at  least 5 minutes before class or it will be released to walk-ins.  We can not hold bikes for late clients.  To avoid disruptions, no one will be allowed to enter a class 10 minutes after start time.

Do I have to be a member of Groove to take a class?

No.  You can pay as you go.  You can purchase individual classes online or at the studio.  We also offer packages for riders who wish to commit monthly.  Riders manage their accounts online and can reserve classes two days in advance.

What is the cancellation policy?

To receive a class credit for a cancelled reservation, you must cancel your class 2 hours before your scheduled class.  For example, if class starts at 6:30 pm, you must cancel by 4:30 pm.  Once you cancel a class, it is returned to your account to be used at a future date.

Is there a waitlist?

If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, the first person on the waitlist is automatically added to the class.

What should I wear? Do I need special shoes?

We recommend a tank top or t-shirt and leggings or shorts.  Sneakers are ok since our bikes have clips for cycling shoes on one side of the pedal and a cage for sneakers on the other side.  We recommend cycling shoes with SPD clips for a smoother and more efficient ride.  We will offer cycling shoes soon.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring a towel and water since hydration is very important!  We have a water cooler for refills, and we also have water available for purchase.

If I miss my class, can I take another class within the same day and not be charged?

If you call or email GROOVE to cancel your class 30 minutes prior to the start of the class, we will allow you to take another class within the same day for no charge. However, if you are a 'no show' or if it is within 30 minutes of the start time, you will lose the class.

What is the refund policy?

You have 7 days to cancel any contract.  If classes were attended during the initial 7 days, the refund amount will be prorated.  All other sales are non-refundable and final.

The bike's seat is uncomfortable.  What should I do?

It may take a few classes to get used to the seat, and you may be a little sore at first.  You will adjust in no time.  You can also bring a seat cushion with you to class.

Does Groove have showers and childcare?

Groove does not offer showers and childcare.

What is the minimum age to take a class a Groove?

Riders must be 18 years of age to take a class at Groove.

What is GROOVE's policy on inclement weather and delayed openings?
